What is Orlando Shops Responsibly?

It's Who We Are

With Orlando Shops Responsibly, our goal is to help reduce costly plastic bag waste, and the pollution it causes, in "The City Beautiful" and other surrounding Central Florida communities.

This new initiative encourages & rewards our 68+ million annual area visitors and our residents to help us #KeepItBeautful by choosing to use alternatives to plastic bags, every time they shop.

How Does it Work?

Pre-register to download our free app. Use it to access our participating business directory with location services & share how you #KeepItBeautful. You'll earn points that can be redeemed for free prizes, exclusive discounts & more!

Points are earned through a variety of activities found on the app, such as posting a video, sharing a photo, and tweeting a message. The more points you earn, the more rewards you can redeem.

Why It Matters

Plastic pollution represents a huge threat to our environment. Single-use plastic bags clog our landfills, pollute our oceans, poison our soil & waters and kill thousands of animals that mistake them for food.

Due to the sheer number of annual visitors, Orlando has a bigger plastic bag waste problem than other communities of our size; 15X bigger! Without some serious waste reduction, that is unsustainable.

THEY SAY TIME CHANGES THINGS, BUT YOU ACTUALLY HAVE TO CHANGE THEM YOURSELF.
